About Andy Baxter

Andy Baxter, MES, PRCS is the owner and CEO of Baxter Fitness Systems™. He is a medical exercise specialist, post-rehab conditioning specialist, and personal trainer. He has nineteen years experience owning and operating facilities in New York, California, and Oregon. He holds certifications from the Health and Fitness Institute at California State Hayward, the American Senior Fitness Association, and the American Association of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals, US Rowing, Concept 2, and The American Sport Education Program.

Fitness Center Owner

Andy designed Baxter Fitness Systems™ and strongly believes in them … so strongly that he uses them in his own fitness centers, Baxter Fitness Solutions, in Ashland and Medford, Oregon. These centers cater to clients over the age of 50, providing a safe, supporting environment for persons recovering from injury, surgery, stroke, or heart attack, as well as active seniors who want to lose weight, increase strength or endurance, and improve overall health. Andy’s equipment meets the needs of his clients with flying colors.

DVD Producer

Not only did Andy design the systems he uses at his own gym, he produces several senior-specific DVDs through his company, Beyond 50 Fitness. The DVDs focus on improving flexibility, strength, and balance. These DVDs are often used in conjunction with his Baxter Fitness Systems.

Athlete

As an athlete , Andy is a 2003 US National, 2004 and 2007 Canadian National, and two- time 2006 World Champion Master oarsman. In 2005, Andy and partner Steve Kiesling finished 4th in the world in the Men's A Pair Final, the fastest Americans that day, and in 2008 Andy and Steve were the oldest competitors in the Olympic trials, qualifying for the C final.
